Single Herb Coltsfoot for Respiratory Issues

It is cold and flu season again.
Today we are introducing one of the herbs used often in TCM for respiratory problems.
From a distance, Coltsfoot flower can be easily mistaken for a dandelion.
The Coltsfoot flower is spicy, slightly bitter, and warm and enters the lung meridian. It is known for its ability to moisten the lungs, lower qi, relieve cough, and reduce phlegm. Coltsfoot flower is often used to treat new and long-term coughs, wheezing, coughing with sputum, and coughing due to fatigue. It possesses pungent, dispersing, and moistening properties is warm but not dry, and is effective at moistening the lungs, lowering qi, and relieving cough, with a slight phlegm-resolving effects.
